Agua

There is a water shortage in all of Nicaragua which the Nicaragüense saving water in every bucket in the house, bottles, sinks, etc. We get water every other day and pretty much bucket bathe everyday. It’s surprising just how much water we can save by bucket bathing instead of showering. I can get by on 3 gallons on average. When there is water, usually between 8AM until about 3PM, I turn on the shower, get my hair wet, and then stand aside for the bucket to catch the water that comes out. Lather up, and use the water from the bucket to rinse off. Nothing goes to waste here.
